Observership Info

Medical school seniors, residents, and fellows can sign up for our department’s two pathology electives.  The month-long electives follow the curricula listed in the fourth-year elective catalog under “PATH 4001” and “PATH 4007”.  Availability is limited by the number of medical school seniors filling the positions.

We no longer offer pathology observerships for medical school graduates who are not currently enrolled in U.S. graduate medical education programs (i.e. residency or fellowship).   Specially constructed observerships are available for pre-med college students and qualified high school students on a limited basis.  Individuals must complete an observer application and fulfill all requirements in advance.
