The retreat includes:
- Two great keynote speakers: Andrew Camilli from Tufts University , and James Musser from the Methodist Hospital Research Institute
- Optional workshop (8:30-9:30 am) on Career Development in Microbiology/Infectious Diseases, led by Drs. Camilli and Norris. All graduate students, fellows, junior faculty or other interested individuals are welcome to attend.
- Oral presentations by faculty, and selected graduate students and fellows
- Poster session with awards for best posters from graduate students and fellows (1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards of $200/$100/$50 in each category)
- Fajita luncheon
- Social hour with refreshments
